Assist Digital strengthens Northern Europe team with three strategic hires to accelerate client transformations

Amsterdam, June 24 th 2026, Assist Digital is strengthening its Northern Europe team with the appointment of three key hires: Chris Smies, Harald van Doorn and Max Marseille. Their arrival marks an important step in Assist Digital’s ambition to help clients connect customer experience, digital platforms, data, AI and operational execution into measurable business growth.

The appointments come at a moment when clients are facing increasing pressure to modernize their commercial and customer operations. Many organizations are looking beyond isolated digital projects and are asking for partners who can help them create integrated transformation: stronger customer journeys, better CRM and tech platforms, more effective sales, marketing and service operations, and practical AI applications that deliver real business value. With these three appointments, Assist Digital Northern Europe is adding more senior transformation leadership, deeper CRM and platform expertise, and proven delivery capability across complex international environments.

Harald van Doorn brings over 25 years of international consulting experience in CRM, CX and digital business transformation. He has led major programs across Telecommunications, Consumer Business, Retail, Life Sciences and High Tech, including large-scale Salesforce transformations for organizations such as Canon Europe, PostNL and Bayer Consumer Health. Harald has also built and scaled consulting practices and go-to-market propositions, combining strategic C-level advisory with hands-on program leadership.

Chris Smies joins with more than 20 years of experience in CRM, digital transformation and enterprise delivery. As former Head of the Salesforce Business Group at Accenture Netherlands, he led a team of more than 80 specialists and worked on large-scale transformation programs for clients including HEINEKEN, Jacobs Douwe Egberts, Rabobank, Nationale-Nederlanden International and BPD. His experience in commercial transformation, global delivery models and value-driven CRM platforms will help Assist Digital clients move from ambition to scalable execution.

Max Marseille joins with strong Salesforce delivery and service management experience from Accenture, where he worked as Salesforce Delivery Lead, Operations Lead and Scrum Master for international consumer goods clients. His experience across Salesforce Commerce, Sales and Service teams, DevOps environments, stakeholder management and delivery quality adds important execution strength to the Northern Europe team.

Clients are no longer looking for digital activity in isolation,” says Philip Kok, CEO Assist Digital Northern Europe. “The three hires also reflect a broader shift in client demand. Organizations are increasingly asking for senior partners who can operate at the intersection of strategy and implementation. They want advice that is commercially relevant, technology decisions that are grounded in customer value, and delivery teams that can scale across markets and platforms. The arrival of Chris, Harald and Max is a great step forward and fully in line with our Northern Europe strategy”

These appointments also support Assist Digital’s continued growth across Europe, and strengthen its role as international partner for organizations that want to modernize their customer operations in a pragmatic, business-driven way.
